Hebrews 10:31

"It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God."

all i can do is keep staring at this. i read it in the Word tonight and it was like I stopped breathing for a second. really there is nothing more to say. it's better for the Word of God to speak for itself.

Hi, Amanda, I'm Kristi's friend in Oklahoma who's moving to Dayton in April. How are you? I liked your last couple of posts. I get really disgusted with my brothers and sisters who go to a $10 restaurant every Sunday and act as though fast food is beneath them for a Sunday lunch even though some of their friends (like me) can't afford to eat at those restaurants. These are Christians? I see a lot of priority problems among Christian singles in America, and I try to make a little bit of a difference here and there. We're not supposed to do things just like everyone else.

Anyway, I'm planning on joining Apex when I get there. I can't wait to meet all of you.

scott, thanks for your comment. just be careful about being "disgusted" with your brothers and sisters over a $5 difference between their spending and yours. maybe first ask the question, why do we all feel the need to go out to eat at all after church?? would you be as upset with their spending if you COULD afford the same fare each week? the post was expressing how i feel about the habits i'm guilty of and how God has been bringing healthy conviction. if others are likelwise convicted, that's fine, but for me to have an expectation of others following suit, would be a little like peering around the plank, to pull a speck from my brother's eye. i just wanted to make sure it doesn't seem like i'm coming down on anyone else but me.
